Karen Saarimaki of the Kenogamisis Golf Club in Geraldton Ontario captured her first Women’s Senior Championship which was held at the St Boniface Golf Club July 3^rd – 5^th.  Saarimaki edged out 2008 Champion Noreen Stewart of Southwood by two shots to capture the title.

Joining Saarimaki and Stewart at the National Women’s Senior Championship at the Morningstar Golf Course in Parksville, BC (August 23^rd to 26^th) will be Judy Lidstone of Elmhurst and Yon Kang of Rossmere.  Niakwa’s Bonnie Stephenson had secured a spot on the Provincial Team but was unable to participate due to a scheduling conflict.
