AARON COCKERILL WINS THE PROVINCIAL BOYS CHAMPIONSHIP IN A THRILLING PLAYOFF



Teulon Golf & Country Club's Aaron Cockerill captured his first Junior Boys Championship in a dramatic manner by defeating Myles Sullivan of the Portage Golf Club in an extra hole playoff.

Both Cockerill and Sullivan completed the 72 regulation play with a total of 294 (+4).  Cockerill made par on the first extra hole and Sullivan made bogey which resulted in Cockerill winning the Championship.  Joining Cockerill and Sullivan as Team Manitoba competing at the National Junior Boys Championship at the Richmond Country Club in Richmond British Columbia August 2nd to 6th will be Alex Crawford of Breezy Bend and Bryce Barr of Southwood who tied for third place with a 294 total (+6).
