Golf Manitoba will once again host the Manitoba Women's Alternate Shot benefiting 'Golf Fore the Cure' - June 6th, 2016 at the Pine Ridge Golf Club.

Golf Fore the Cure is aimed to grow women’s participation in the game of golf by introducing them to the game through fun, non - intimidating activities.  Through a unique partnership structure with the Canadian Cancer Society, the program has women across the country participate in golf activities and raise money for a cause close to all women’s hearts -breast cancer research.

Highlights of this year’s event at Pine Ridge are:

  • Door Prize
  • Hole contests
  • Lunch
  • Prize for team low net and team low gross
  • 50/50 raffle draw
  • 100 Adidas online gift card for the top fundraiser of each event

Fundraising for the Canadian Cancer Society

Please take the time to raise money for the Manitoba Branch of the Canadian Cancer Society to support the fight against breast cancer.  The Canadian Cancer Society is a national, community based organization of volunteers whose mission is to eradicate cancer and enhance the quality of life of people living with cancer. As Canada’s longest standing cancer charity, they have been making a difference in the lives of Canadians since 1938.  Nationally, Canada raised just over $367,000 in 2015.

National Event Trip Give-Away

To qualify for the giveaway all money raised must be submitted by August 19th, 2016.  Your money must be in Golf Canada’s national office by 5:00 ET on this day or your total will be used towards the 2017 National Event trip give - way.

The Golf Fore the Cure - National Event is a celebration of the success of the entire Golf Fore the Cure program for the past year and it recognizes all those who have contributed to a future without breast cancer. The 2016 National Event will be held at the Burlington Golf & Country Club on September 12th. In order to be eligible for this contest, the post-event wrap up package needs to be received by Golf Canada by Friday, August 19th, 2016 at 05:00PM EST.

1. Provincial Event with the highest sum of donations (online & offline) gets to send one (1) foursome team.

2. Top Fundraising GFTC event receives one (1) foursome into the tournament.

3. Second top fundraising GFTC event receives one (1) foursome into the tournament.
